born in Shanghai, Weiwei Xu is a composer & sound artist. she focuses on different aspects in composition: instrumental timbre, recorded sounds, improvisation, and design temporal structure, think within and beyond the convention - rationality, sensitivity, fragility, spontaneousness, and indeterminacy.

weiwei studied composition with Peter Edwards at the National University of Singapore - Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, with Klaus Lang and Beat Furrer at the Kunstuniversität Graz.

She is awarded with Jahresstipendium from Kunstuni Graz & full tuition grant from National University of Singapore - YSTCM.
