x.sounding has a strong focus on music as a solid art form, not as a material to be handed in any form that is irrelevant to the subject of sonic study. The art - music, relates to today's general image, has shifted the subject to a border field of research, we seek music relates to studies on understanding the temporal acoustic form itself, on understanding the sound and its interior structure itself, on understanding the acoustic and spacialization of the sound, on understanding how contemporary music practice in relation to its notation systems throughout the tradition.

APPLICATION

our site function as an archive for sound/media artist and composers to present their composition on the internet. no limitation on nationality, age and style is upon your own artistic decision.​​ we hope to get less-known work more recognized. 

 

please do the following in steps:

​

1. contact us first via email xsounding@outlook.com

2. audio/video link for us to listen

3. thoughts and concept  (max. 2 page) of the work, score

4. file via google drive, wetransfer, via email might not working.

AFTER SELECTION

​

please also send artistic photo, preferably in large resolution with black background.

10 euro per submission to founder weiwei xu, PayPal.Me

or 80 RMB via wechat pay (add: x-sounding)

AFTER SUBMISSION

Your submission will be archived by x.sounding in a digital hard drive. It will be considered you agree us to share your work.

For sound art / acoustic composition recording, we will upload and share it on our site with converted format in mp3.

For audio-visual work or video: x.sounding will ask your author rights to let us share your work content on our site and founder's running Bilibili channel, with your name credit.

Please also let us know if you would like to receive project offer such as composing music for short video/film, or for game, sound design or editing.
